Best Coffee In Austin

So I recently had the privilege to photograph the fine folks at my favorite coffee bar in Austin, Houndstooth. It was for Tribeza magazine’s story on fashionable wait staff. Now for those of you who don’t know I am quite picky about coffee since our family has a coffee shop, The Coffee Ethic, but the people at Houndstooth really know what they are doing. It is the one place that I go to to really enjoy coffee. So if you are in Austin go check them out. I usually get one of their featured coffee’s as a pour over. But I will admit that on a hot day a nice cold brewed coffee can’t be beat. I’m actually quite a big fan of cold brew coffee!

Instagram Socialmatic Camera.
Look at this creative camera concept. ADR-Studio created this Instagram Camera Concept in the typical app design, with Apple technology and the functionality of a polaroid camera. Recent Still Life Work
Wanted to share with y’all some recent still life work. Both of these shoots were a little different from what I normally shoot. They were more straight forward still life work vs. conceptual work. But they were fun to work on and I am very happy with how they have turned out!
First is for Verb hair products:

And next was for Austin Woman Magazine:

Experiment: Ipad as a Cintique Tablet
So a lot of people have talked about using an app called Air Display to set your iPad up as a secondary screen but I realized that I had a stylist for the iPad and thought it would be worth a try to see how it would work as a Cintique style tablet.

It worked fairly well. The refresh was a little slow being on my wifi that is currently running netflix for my daughter. Also the accuracy could be better if the stylist tip was more of a tip vs a ball shape. Any way it was a fun experiment, not sure how much use it will be this way, it’s always great having a small portable second screen that can also do a whole lot more.
Below is the image retouched using the iPad and stylist.

Would love to get one of these!
Incredible!
