Over My Shoulder

news, inspiration, behind the scenes

THE WHITEBOX STUDIO

The Whitebox Studio is a Co-op studio that I have been wanting to create for the past few years. And guess what, it is now real! We have been open for about 2 months now and it is great. So nice to be around a bunch of other creatives and having a nice large studio to shoot in.

We are having out opening party soon so keep an eye out in your inboxes!

American Photo On Campus

Recently I was contacted by American Photo about a story they were doing for their On Campus editions and the always great DJ Stout referred them to me for an image to open the story with. A couple days later they emailed me again to use one of my Veggie Beard shot for the Cover. Turned out great. Thanks again DJ and American Photo!

New Work - Brew Methods

This is a personal project that I have been working on for a couple months. The idea was to create something that could be done with digital means but to be hand crafted instead. So what better of subject matter than something that I love…Coffee. I decided to pick 5 home brewing methods and create the words out of coffee. Then to illustrate the how-to part I designed the steps then cut them out and assembled them. The whole process was very time consuming but well worth it. I feel that there is something uniquely interesting about creating tangible objects and photographing them. Also they can be used sculpturally as well!

Click on Brew Methods in the nav bar up top to see the whole series!
